How do you quote for removals?

We offer a free in-person survey to all clients within a 35 mile radius to us. During this survey, a representative from our company will visit your home or office to evaluate factors such as the volume of belongings, special items requiring extra care, access points, and any specific concerns you may have. This allows us to provide you with an accurate quote tailored to your needs and ensures a smooth and efficient moving experience. It’s an opportunity for you to discuss your requirements in detail and address any questions or concerns you may have directly with a moving expert.

How much notice do you need?

The amount of notice required by a removal company can vary depending on factors such as the time of year, the size of your move, and the availability of the moving company. However, as a general guideline, it’s recommended to provide as much notice as possible to ensure availability and secure your desired moving date. Ideally, aim to contact a removal company at least 4-6 weeks before your intended move date, especially during peak moving seasons like summer. This allows the company to adequately plan and allocate resources for your move, ensuring a smoother and more efficient process. Please note on occasions we won’t offer this service if we think damages may be caused.

Are my belongings insured throughout the process?

At Spencer Removals we are fully insured, so your belongings are covered by our policy for the time when they are in our care. Specifically, this means that we will cover accidental damage and loss to any item from when we pick them up to load them on the van, to when we deposit them in your new house. Any damage incurred before or after these times will be down to your contents insurance to cover.

Do you do long distance house moves?
